In light of Nintendo's lack of love for Metroid, you could also interpret this picture as Samus's reaction to Other M and Federation Force. I really do hope Samus will be back for Nintendo NX.Samus's particular pose is based on DIO's standing posture from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
