Description The birds begin to flock and call, "Don't listen to the birds. Don't trust the birds. Ignore the birds."
In the cacophony of shrieks and screams a soft, almost musical voice begins to recite an old nursery rhyme. "Raven song, cold and drawn, don't listen to his words. The first's a warning, the second an omen, the third is the curse you wear. I slit his tongue, to still his song, but still his call goes on. 'Murderer,' he calls to me..."
Suddenly, a sharp high-pitched screech from somewhere further off in the forest. Silence. Dead silence. And then, a single, repeating, call...

"Drow..."

And so the rhyme finishes, "A murderer, I do not want to be."

After escaping from the demon lord RisingSun, River returned to Dewrune. Her home village. Arriving at the secluded grove, she finds her home in ruins. Rundown, overgrown, demolished. Faint outlines of roads and foundations are all that remain of her once home. How much time had passed? What happened to Dewrune? Wandering through the ruins River finds her own house, what's left of her house that is. An ancient oak grows where her home once stood, it's body beginning to engulf three large headstones. "Here lies Midas Reeds. Died defending Dewrune." "Here lies Converging Rain. May you find your tepid river." "Here lies Carri Rain, yon. Find me in the forests east of the shrine, whoever survived the firebird."
