Thank you so much for sharing this piece of art. I am not an artist so, unfortunately, cannot comment on the incredible technical ability needed to create this, only on my own feelings and observations.
Being an ardent dog lover, (who remain only 3 generations away from their wolf ancestors), I was stunned by the absolute accuracy of this depicition. I always feel as if when howling they are looking to the stars for divine information, as the fact they are only communicating does not do justice to the facial expression, especially the eyes. The fur on this wolf is so realistic you feel you could reach in and run your hands through that thick lustrous coat. You have captured wonderfully the eye of the wolf, always a reminded they are not going to appreciate being petted by a human!! You have also captured that intelligence that led them to realise man could be an aide when they are hunting and so hitched up for the hunt - sometimes forgotten by man! The background of the drawing, in itself, is so delicately done yet you are fully aware of that first sense of
winter coming and in the wolf's case maybe more difficult hunting times to come.
Have thoroughly enjoyed viewing this and thank you again.
