For islandtime to remind her of spring in England. There were loads of bud waiting to open at Wakehurst Place, West Sussex and I will be going back in a few weeks time to take some more photos.Related content

Wow, so beautiful. If you want some advice, your photographs are nice. You find great subjects to photograph no doubt. I think you just need to research post processing. I know you like my images but they are "meh" until I get into the darkroom (aka photoshop). All that matters is that you get a good exposure and composition. All that you could have done different with this was use an ultrawide and captured some of the horizon/sky as well and maybe shoot on a morning/evening when the light is really magical. Try it and let us know how it goes .... when the timing allows of course.

Thank you, I need to spend more time composing and even more time post processing and that is the area I am really trying hard at now.....when I get the time. I only just bought a Tokina 12-24 lens. Waiting for the better weather!!

Maybe you could choose a much lower point of view at the ground and work with the focus. You could focus for example on some flowers in the foreground using f4-f7.1 anything like that. That would blur the background flowers and the trees in the far background. It would create the impression of a wider meadow of flowers.
Often extreme point of view make the image. So don't hesitate lie down on the ground...
The shadow at the right bottom distracts, try to check those irritating elements before releasing.

Thanks again for your helpful comments, I am trying to balance trying to enjoy photographing things without boring my husband who doesn't have much interest in photography, although he does enjoy the end result.
