This world that we stand on defines us. We come from it; it makes up who we are. I teaches us everything we know, and eventually, it kills us. This picture represents how Jesus can take our absolute darkest moments and give us life through them anyway. His sacrifice, his blood, now (I speak in a symbolic manner) courses through our veins and makes us like him, instead of like this world.

I was inspired to make this in response to a friend's drawing (his name is Ben Cesarz), which looks similar but has an unrelated message.
