Description
The story:
There is a prized gallery known as the Rogues Galla. In this Galla, infamous relics and treasures hold power amongst one’s imagination, some even rumored to house powers of mass destruction. In order to reach devious hands, famed jewelry company ZAIHŌ entrusted the overwatch of this Galla to the founders, Gallucio and Pinocchio.

However, three thieves plot to steal the Galla and its treasures. On this fateful night, the Thieves nicknamed The Rogues successfully enter and steal the Galla, only to be caught by the two owners. Pinocchio, in a last act turns on Gallucio, enacting his devious plan to use the artifacts to reach the treasure only known as The Singularity.

Saving Gallucio from his former partner's fatal blow, the Rogues enact a contract with Gallucio seeing the two are in debt with one another. Once more, a tale of unlikely heroes takes place, as this team of Rogues aim to retrieve the Rogues Galla and stop Pinocchio’s plans of destruction. Soon joining them in the fray are the rival thieves Pink and Green with their own agenda and RogueShadow, a righteous thief who seeks to thwart his fathers plans of destruction. They are Retrieval Sentai Rogueranger! And they’re doing things their way! Try and stop them!

Introducing the Rogues turned unlikely heroes, Retrieval Sentai Rogueranger! The 20th team in my Sentai-Line Up, these rogues don’t go down without a fight! Originally a team of thieves, the Roguerangers were originally comprised of Red,Blue,Yellow and Shadow. However it has been a while since I touched upon this particular Sentai idea as originally it was just a thief Sentai.;And then I started making art and decided to comeback to the Roguerangers.

Now originally they were just thieves of sorts who became heroes. Then that ultimately evolved into the GoHunters and I and no direction for the Roguerangers upon revitalizing the idea. Then it came to me, that it became a soft sequel to the GoHunters Story of sorts with another sector of the treasures being stolen once more, hence a new team of thieves would take center stage and be the heroes.

Design wise, they are similar to the Lupinrangers, however I did want to deviate the two teams of rogues. Mainly the core trio is Red,Blue,Yellow who make up The Rogues. They are eventually joined and rivaled by Pink and Green of The Rebels a sorta agent team of Zaiho itself. Shadow is a vigilante of sorts who does work alongside the Rogues.

Lore wise, and as previously stated, the Rogues are the trio of Red,Blue,Yellow who aim to take the Rogues Galla, a sorta more powerful top secret version of the Splendid Treasures from the GoHunters. This time around, an entrusted member named Pinocchio betrays Gallucio at the climax of the meeting with the rogues which leads to Gallucio and the rogues forming a contract with one another. Though weary of this unlikely alliance, Zaiho itself Sends to members from its security forces to “work” alongside the Roguerangers but ultimately have a different agenda. Shadow son of Gallucio who at first betrays his own father but ultimately did it to take the RogueShadow powers from Pinocchio. It’s best to say Gallucio and Pinocchio were sorta first generation of Roguerangers.

I think, despite the long time coming, The Roguerangers is like the climax of 20 stories into one as the Rogueranger story features a lot of returning heroes, mainly with the GoHunters as they are apart of the same company. But as well as other Sentais such as the KyuOhger,Jikeiger, and GoGoGer. I like to think the Rogues gain aid from other sentais, kinda learning to become heroes in the process while trying to save the world with different abilities and powers gained from each sentai (more on that in another post). The Rogues despite being a soft sequel to the GoHunters is a story about being heroes and as well being a family of sorts (the Roguerangers aren’t family but they treat each other like one, a dysfunctional one). But 20 teams stories concludes in the Roguerangers story as a new one is about to open up!
