Description
This is a oil on canvas painting that I did.The title comes from the use of the greek letter Theta used to describe a certain EEG rhythm typically observed during levels of intense physical activity.
This I use as a metaphor for active thinking and the exploration of thought.
The lotus flower represents many things to different cultures. Growing in ponds with its roots in the mud, the flower reaches for the light. It represents purity and the seeking of knowledge and enlightenment. The flower in this painting has roots that are not bound and be thought to represent unlimited potential.
In chaos theory, the smallest thing can cause a much greater change in the larger picture. Like the act of a butterfly flapping its wings being the cause of a future storm. Everything that occurs effects everything that will occur. Your actions, no matter how small, can and do change the world.
Let your light burn when all around is enveloped in darkness. Maintain integrity, and seek to do the right thing when it's not easy or convenient. Seek the truth and question everything.
