Note: I'm revamping all my old ocs to fit them into a new setting i.e. a world set in the 1990s, like ours but with demons/magic. I'm admittedly not a world-building kind of person so I had to give up my fantasy settings ;u; I'm okay with doing small-scale building of city structures and governments though!!

Age: 22 (but ages slower now)
Species: Half Demon
Height/Weight: 6' // 145 lbs
Ethnicity: Half French, Half Chinese
Job: Demon Hunter (Class 2.2 in the Bureau of Demon Defense)
Birthday: June 16th

♡ Likes: Sparring, Chinese food
☠ Dislikes: Weak-minded people (not weak people), when people cause trouble for no good reason

Personality: Keeps a strong emotionless/apathetic front because he cannot control his demon side yet. He is fiercely loyal to those who return that loyalty, and protective of the few he cares about. Before being trained to fight, he was actually quite a timorous and self-indulgent child; he matured a lot after the training. He's quite soft-hearted under the cold front and isn't unfriendly if talked to. He has a cold and distant expression on his face most of the time, and the way he walks is brisk/like a man on a mission. He appears unapproachable so it takes someone with thick skin to talk to him. Appearance: He has auburn/red hair and piercing blue eyes (inherited both from his dad). His eyes are quite narrow and he's very fair-skinned. He has a wiry/lithe frame, not much bulk but still muscled. He likes hardy and practical clothes (jackets, boots, sturdy pants). His jacket was a gift from Sei so it's the only thing that looks trendy/cool haha. Abilities: He is very adept with a sword. He's half-demon, so he has more acute senses, very fast reflexes, enhanced strength and speed. If he gains control of his demon side, he'll be able to harness those powers too - even more strength/speed, night vision, strong canine incisors...Back Story: Reve grew up in a fairly affluent family; his dad was a successful merchant in France and his mother a visiting noble from China. After his father passed (he was eleven/twelve), his mother moved back to China with him and they lived in her home-town. Unfortunately, China was more rampant with demons and magic (as compared to Europe), and every able child in the village was expected to learn how to fight, Reve included. It was a stark culture change for him, but after some hardships he started to flourish.

A travelling renowned swordsman took Reve under his tutelage (upon seeing his potential) when he was fourteen/fifteen, and he spent a few years traveling with his shifu and training under him. After returning, Reve finds his hometown in fresh ruin - a pack of vicious wolf demons had ravaged it - and his mom dead. Bent on revenge, he sets on the trail of these wolf demons and finds them 2-3 years later, after scouring the country.

He kills the alpha of the pack and the remaining members sacrifice themselves to lay a curse upon him. When he awakes, he finds his hands and mouth bloodied, and a flock of dead sheep near him (and a terrified herdsman huddling in a tree). He spends a year searching for answers but to no avail, and when he hears America is looking for hunters to fight their demon infestation, he goes over there (where he meets Sei!). Trivia: ✣ Sei teaches him how to control his demon powers
✣ has a tattoo on his left arm! He got it when he visited France just after he got cursed (after which he returned to China for a year)
✣ has a pretty nasty scar on his chest (from the wolf demon alpha's strike)
✣ doesn't like animals
✣ his sense of direction leaves much to be desired, but he's fine if there are landmarks to follow.
✣ absolutely no fashion sense
✣ he fights with a team (3 other people) in the Southern Crescent (there are different demon spawn zones in the city; his team is in charge of that one).
✣ he originally fought in the Commons (an area of low-level demons for beginners/newbies), and got recruited to the team after their fourth member got killed
✣ his closest friend after Sei is a boy named Will, the youngest of 4 boys in a famed hunter family - but Will is hopeless with a sword so Reve encourages him to try ranged weapons
