So this is what I've been working on for the last 2 months. Sorry it's not animated. But I hope you enjoy it anyway.

So James gave up C Students for this...
To be honest, I do not have any problem with that whatsoever. The story aspect of this is so much more developed than C Students, expanding more on the similar outcast perspectives shared by the main casts of both Middle Ground and C Students. Carter's lifestyle choice definitely reinforces the themes of isolation and adds a new thematic and allegorical depth to them. Yet, at the same time, it doesn't lose that signature brand of offbeat and meta humor that C Students made its signature. Also, I can't get over these character designs. Marker's body is so fine and I'm man-crushing so hard on Carter right now. Myth really has good tastes.
I understand the move here. I went through a similar creative development. When I was in high school, I was in a similar socially stunted state to James and as a result I wanted to create something that took the piss out of the kids I went to high school with, as well as the institution itself. However, I never gave up that idea. Ever since I got out of high school I felt I really wanted to tell a different kind of story with my work, so I started a new project, meanwhile I took my project from high school and morphed it into something with more of a message. So, it's possible to hang onto the past while putting it more in line with your future. I respect the direction these projects are taking because I know it very well myself.

Such a compelling story. I liked Carter's design as I couldn't help but think of Danny Fenton/Phantom and Dante from the Classic Devil May Cry series. Not gonna lie, every character design you made interested me. Each music track inserted into this story fitted well with the events.
I hope there will be more works like this in the future AnimatedJames! (BTW, I'm Alex McNeill on Youtube, thought I'd just throw that out)

Really though, I feel like drawing some fanart for this now! I just love the idea of a universe of two types of humans with powers for some reason.

you know more i read it, the more and more i felt allot like carter. i act allot like him in real life
as for the comic, its well written with some funny and clever dialogue, likable and relatable characters.
only issue i have is the grounds and clouds thing is a little confusing, it makes a somewhat amount of sense, but lacks a proper intro.
other than that, its a pretty good comic.

this is one of the best internet comics I've ever read. I really hope this can either become an animated youtube series.
