The part where Ulys says he's joining them was a future vision, so in order to catch up to them he had to leave first. So he will join them not long after the end of the comic when they are walking away.

Clouds, like Marker and Myth, are people who have visions of future events (near clouds have visions of events that will happen within a short period of time, and far clouds can see farther into the future).
Grounds, like Carter, are people who can communicate with animals.

This was great I really loved the concept of like the gifts and the characters were all very likeable and I'm invested to see more of were there story is going. Also the humor in this was spot on. Great Job!

this is awesome! It's not animated but it still felt like watching a tv show, except the tv skipped frames 
i listened to that one song for minutes, then that ending credits song remixed it so well, is so catchy and meaningful!

They concept of Carter being a Nomad and not paying taxes really pisses me off. The fat guy had a really good point, since on some things he doesn't have the option of being helped by socialist programs. For example, he was helped by the police and took up their valuable time, but he doesn't contribute in any way in the form of taxes. He's also protected by the military, and if he were ever hit by a car I'm willing to bet his life would be saved by the healthcare system and he'd never be able to pay it back without a real job. Even if hypothetically he didn't drain the system, he's still draining the earth by using up resources by foraging resources from the environment without contributing anything to society.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm totally in favor of a system where poor people get tax cuts and wealthfare benefits, but it's a different situation. They get those benefits to be able to get themselves in a position where they can contribute to society to their full potential, and work far harder than almost anyone else. Carter is just a slacker who's abusing the system for his own gain.
