The above link is to a Wikipedia article, because I just know you all will cry if I show you the music video. x]; I know I can't help but cry when I see it. It's so sad..
I'm really proud of this picture, worked one and a half day on this (with breaks, obviously. The actual time would have been a good few hours). SO YOU BETTER FUCKING LEAVE A GOOD COMMENT OR I'LL RAEG Freaking fave-and-runners.
I was unsure about how a few things turned out here, but overall I'm pretty proud of this picture. c: I really like the symbolic theme of the song and music video which inspired this picture. The theme being childhood innocence being destroyed by corporations (see Wikipedia article for details ). It reminded me of the conquest of Vort and its relation to Toby and since you all don't know much about him and I haven't really been able to draw him lately, this is a picture devoted to him. WOW I DREW A BACKGROUND FOR ONCE. BLASPHEMY.
Yay story tiems:
He had to witness the onslaught, the destruction of all he knew was beautiful. His planet, his hometown, everything has been burnt down to the ground. Smoke rose from the ruined buildings, all the vegetation has been wilted and reduced to ash.. What was once a site of beauty is now gone.. The only survivor has witnessed the might of the Irken Empire. He has witnessed phase one of Operation Impending Doom.
He has witnessed the conquest of Vort.

Anyway, I do like this picture. I love how the characters up front contrast with the background. It adds extra emphasis towards them. Also good placement of the characters rather than put them in the middle, it's good you put them in a corner, it adds some more point of interest to them.
I also like the shades of red you used for the background. It sets a mood of terror into the picture. Perfect for this since it is supposed to portray the horror of war.
It's a little different from my perception, but still a good picture, none the less.

Thankies. c: It's only one character though. |D I just wanted to put his expression there to put more emotion in the picture. But yeah, putting Toby in the corner made the picture more interesting looking, and I really wanted to draw more of the background. xD Besides that, Vortians just have their distinctive happy colours, which contrasts a lot with terror. XD; Poor things.
Thanks, I wanted to do something with warm colours, since it IS supposed to portray the theme of destruction, anyway.

The background is awesome, the expression is awesome, so are the lyrics and how they are placed.
