And another one that I would stare at-- a mere 2 or 3 years ytounger, it took me a minute to get this the first time around and it struck me as something differemt, something special. The doll, the plants, all things iconic of peace and life grow out of rot and pain and feed off of it.... and I'm sure.. perhaps this was not what you meant when you made this but I get so much from it at so many different angles....
What were you thinking, when this piece came to you?

Very dark with and depressing. I can almost feel the emotions in this artwork. You portrayed what's going on in this really well.

This is absolutely beautiful. I love how delicate the spindles of frost cling to the pilling clothe of the sweater. You never cease to amaze.

wow, awesome. I love the way you used the snowdrop flower to convey the meaning of the piece. Tthe flower of hope, given to Eve by an angel when she was thrown out of heaven to bring her comfort. Beautiful

It's wonderful to come across any artist who manages to digital or traditionally paint awe inspiring detail into their work, but incredibly gratifying to discover one with such a feel for illustrative art and able to embed so much meaning into every stroke of their work. This is why I love Monet and Van Gogh, and that's also why I love this image. The frozen threads alone made this a favorite for me, the snow flowers emerging from his bleeding wound cinched it. And also, the wonder; is this child the hope of the future, or is he the encapsulated remains of hope frozen forever in place? And if he is dead, why is there fresh blood on his backside? Maybe he's hope in waiting.
Kudos for those ice webs too. It's like some giant frost spider went "ptooo!" everywhere! Forgive my indiscretion, I love to laugh.
Favorite, a thousand times a favorite.

Hmmm....such a stark, powerful image. The figure looks almost thoughtful if it weren't for the hanging crystals and frost solidfying him into place, as if they could take action, but took too long in making the decision. The frost effect really blows my mind away. That's such a hard effect to do, though I think perhaps a few more little highlights will make the ice more crystalline rather than opaque around the area of the face where the light is hitting it the most (unless opaque ice is what you were going for). All the subtle hints, like the torn paper saying 'Freedom' and the line of slaves being subjagated really speak of a deeper story here. I like how you have to look deeper to find those details, especially since you haven't given us a description to go with the piece. IT really makes the viewer stop and think. Another lovely work.

I can't believe it. I didn't even know this kind of artistic brilliance was even possible, but it's in every single one of your pictures. How did you do it??
