I left it pretty much up to the viewer to decide where they think the planet is. I was trying to create an effect were we'd have a lot of light coming up from the planet to illuminate the station & ships. I figured it'd be cool haha

One TIE Advanced x1 was intimidating during the Death Star trench run. Ten plus of them would be terrifying for a Rebel pilot.

You're welcome. Details like that are important for a picture like this and help expand the wonder and imagination of the viewer. It makes perfect logical sense for a ship that large to be around to restock it's supplies, weapons, etc, or maybe even being deployed there with the specific purpose of defending that station. If it's in a key area and vital for the empire to hold, it would discourage the rebels from trying to take it when they know there's a star dreadnought in the area.

I don't understand why the Empire didn't continue the production of th X-1.
If they had then maybe the results would have turned out in their favor.

The design philosophy was to control the lesser man, even if they are loyal. TIE fighters in general had no hyperdrive so no random person can run off with it, and having no shields made it easier to destroy "deserters". The top elites were not only the most skilled pilots, but also the most proven loyal to the service of the Empire, and thus considered the least "expendable".
