11 January, 2012: Added region map and title text!
3 January, 2011: Full template revamp! With new type icons and boxes large enough for the new 96x96 pixel limit! Now I think it has a flatter, more "dex-like" feel. I also tried to make the type icons more interesting to look at instead of just "type color + shiny button". My favorites are bug and flying!
Oh also, if the fakemon's name has a blue or pink background, that means it is either male or female exclusive.
Several sprites with minor tweaks; revamped sprites for Aclairion (!!!), Seraphiel, Harmonia and Tanana; reveal of Belialethe; and planned revamp of Skyvern (who was too large).
17 August, 2009: added a lot of revamped sprites icluding: Kitglow, Finlet, Raccendage, Dandilee, Trikkum, Gatito, Aqitty, Sparkitty and Flaqitty!
9 April, 2009: revamped Flaminguru sprite!

There are currently 94 fakemon, with planned concepts (blank boxes) to make 99.
Currently, a lot of sprites are getting revamped, so new concepts are put on pseudo-hold right now, although there might be new ones randomly. But right now I am mostly revamping.
Don't steal them!! Or else. >:[
And if you already have in the past, shame on you.
The layout goes:
- general dex
- evos/prevos of existing pokemon
- supporting legendary trio
- main legendary trio and the region's two main legends
Concept credit for Subby and Ubote go to Hark.
Several names credited to the members of CSpriting (Jake, THE shadow, and others)(if you helped and would like to be listed just contact me)
Type icons are made by me, so you can use them for random projects if you like, but please give credit/link back to here!

Is art and names and typing off limits? or just art.
Im working on a text-based computer game and I wanted to borrow peoples dexes (just names and typing) and time in thinking of stuff that requires creativity (something which i don't have TT^TT) such as areas, sages (like gym leaders) names, etc.
If everything is off limits, thats fine and congrats on being a gifted pixel artist! :3

I used to have a tutorial somewhere but I can't seem to find it now... though I'm sure there are a whole bunch around; right off the top of my head I know does some. Spriting is really just an extension and simplification of drawing, so once you have a firm knowledge of shape and form, it will benefit your spriting immensely.

For first sprites those are pretty good! I would suggest making the difference between the shades larger; like for the greens on Vegevil, they are all pretty close in value. For Pokemon-style sprites it helps a lot to have big jumps in value to emphasize the form of the pokemon!

oh ok ^^ ille try that with the fino, so like instead of the color of the shade blending in with the color, i should make the colors really different (but still green for example)? just trying to make sure thats whut you mean

I mean like when you're choosing shades, don't be afraid to go darker. For example: on my sprites for Tanana and Seraphiel, the shading is very noticeable, and it goes from light to dark very quickly, but for my older ones like Felectro and Felaze, it's very hard to see the distinction.

Your fakemon have a bright charm to them! I really like your starters, the lillypad frog duo, protext is funny, chromale and femetal are cool, but my favorite fakemon in this dex is your water/fighting fish duo that I can't pronounce their names lol. I gotta follow your dex to try to improve upon mine

This is one of my favorite fakedexes! Most of these Pokemon seem very plausible and beautiful, and I love the pastel feel. There are so many I would love to have on my team, but my favorite has to be Spectaura; he looks like he' be a good friend to have around. ^^'
I think the only critique I could possibly make is that it's a touch heavy on cats...

I'm thinking of making an iphone app with these fakemon, because I think they're creative and original We can go on back and forth over the app on deviantart with the sprites. all credit goes to you, and I will give you 50% of the cuts of the app money. . . if it makes any money . As Im just starting out(no programming experience whatsoever), this wont be hugely successful. It will be a nice project though, and we will have fun doing this. reply if you're interested.
