How safe I felt in your arms.
Reminded of you constantly,
Of the past,
Our past,
The dreams we had for our future together,
The same dreams that will never come true.
I hate when you talk of your new life,
A life without me,
A like that sounds so complete,
I can't stand the thought of you with anyone,
But I can't admit how I feel.
When we talk, idle chit chat,
I long for you to wrap your arms around me,
Long for you to say you love me,
I pray silently for you to confess,
But you never do.
So I sit there silently,
Pretending everything's fine,
Smiling, nodding, passing time,
"Patience is a virtue", you told me once years ago,
But I don't want patience,
I want you.

Hehe, thankee. I dunno, just in the past when I've tried it, I think I tried too hard to make it all rhyme and stuff. But I just kinda emptied my head onto the page and that's what came up!
