With the release of iPhone 14, Apple reimagined the concept of a SIM card in the US. Removing the physical slot that’s existed on virtually every smartphone. Instead, they opted for something called eSIM. Or, embedded SIM. Which doesn’t have to be swapped or ejected since it’s connected directly to the iPhone's motherboard.
