Hey! I had a question about commissions, do you ever do base commissions? I really love your style and looked through the bases you have, but did not see an iguanodon. Would you ever consider making a iguanodon base? Of course you could make your own adopts, I just have an oc I would love to actually have an official design lol, he’s an iguanodon.

I don't do base commissions anymore, but I do take suggestions. And I am working on an iguanadon base with my next batch of dinosaur bases, but I don't have a plan for when that will come out, and I'll be working on some other bases in the mean time.

more specifically of the man himself, though I wouldn't sample the colors directly because of the faded quality, but they're generally (reddish) gold, silvery metal, then black, white, yellow, red, black again, and all their general design in combination. I'd like to see how you design the colors on the Roost, you can take liberties with it.
Also can I get a shaded version too?

Oh, it's....a little more common than I expected :/ you see the illustration has a fairly important symbolic meaning, which is why I chose it and the particular design on the armored guy, or I would have just made a palette of the plain colors.
Mainly he's in silver/steel armor with golden edges, including the stars, both colors symbolizing silver and gold as the precious metals the alchemists sought to recreate, then on his chest is the transition of the philosophers' stone, going in a cycle of purifying itself to perfection, black > white > yellow > then ultimately red, the starting color of the stone but the most celebrated as the essence of life, then continues to turn black and recreate the cycle again. Might sound gibberish if you're not into this kinda stuff, but I'm just trying to illustrate it.
Alchemical books also have funky illustrations of people doing strange things, naked people, animals, weird mythical creatures and such, so I thought your rooster-goat-dragon would be a great fit. Maybe should have written this wall of text with the request.
Also, what about the shading?

Oh, sorry I have looked into alchemical symbols before and know what you're talking about, I just didn't know you wanted me to apply it here. I thought the picture was just a regular palette. I can make another one, not a problem. Do you want to keep the first one or can I resell it?

Here's the new version
I gave all the long feathers that black-white-yellow-red-black again gradient. I put stars on his comb to represent a crown of stars. I made the legs white like salt, which represents the material world and I tried to give the body a liquid texture to make it look like mercury or quick silver, the eye is a mat yellow like sulfur. Also there's a link to the shaded version in the description of the picture, although I think the unshaded version makes the mercury look better.

When I get around to making a painting of him, I will attempt to do the finest one I've ever done, to honor your design.
