The creature from the new Cloverfield movie, best as I can remember it.Yeah... a few days have passed and I'm beginnign to realize more and more inaccuracies in my vers.

the only things i see that are a little off are that the red sacs were a little bigger, he wasnt as hunched over
and the tail, i rmember the tail perfectly, it was ovular, like a tadpoles tail
but other than that everything seems spot on

I hope that eventually the producers of the film will put up images of the thing. You really don't get a true look at it in the movie, not the whole body at least.
One thing I did notice, though, that you don't have in your drawing, is that the tail of the thing is more like a fin. In fact, it looks most of all like a fish's pectoral fin, and it grows straight out of the base of the thing's spine.
The tentacle thingy must be an arm?
The way it walks reminds me of footage of vampire bats, as they sort of walk around on their elbows.

Really? o_0 oh snap, I could've sworn it had a long tail with those nubby litte fins on the tip... Although I did think it had tentales among the smaller vestigal limbs...

Well I could be wrong, but I've seen the film twice, and I noticed the fin-like tail both times. I will probably go again at some point.
The way it walked reminded me of the way vampire bats walk along the ground.

This looks freakin amazing! I just saw cloverfield last night and it was so f**king intense, and u did an awesome job drawing the monster considering u didn't even get a good view of it until it appeared towards the end and only for 5 seconds before it killed the camera guy. even then u couldn't see all of it. The only way u could have made this better was if u drew those spider things all over it. This is one hell of a drawing man, keep up the good work!

Looks awesome! I love the skechty way you drew it! The pose and perspectief is great, it makes him more brute and large looking. Coloring is great too! Would like to see this with a background!

Yeah, it's funny, because when I got back from seeing the movie I hopped on DA to see other Deviants' interpretations of the creature. Your was one of the more accurate ones.

Yeha it was one hell of a ride. I'm only slightly disappointed in the ending... *SPOILER* I felt that there should have been, I dunno, maybe an explaination of the aftermath, maybe like news clips interspersed between credit segments... kinda like credits in the remake of Dawn of the Dead.*SPOILER*
But otherwise it was a VERY novel approach to th genre.

More explanation would have probably hurt this movie more. If you think about it this film is really about the people just trying to survive and save a girl.

The audio actually has to be played backwards in order to hear the "It's still alive", but when it is you can hear it clear as daylight. I'm almost positive Rob is the speaker, it sounds just like his voice. Maybe he lived through the bombing? He WAS under a tunnel, which would have provided at least partial shelter from the explosions, but you'd never know. Rumor has it that there's gonna be a Cloverfield 2

Yeah, you never really see them until the very end, they remind me of certain salamanders that have gills on the outside of their bodies.

I may well be wrong, but I thought they were more like immediately behind the eye/eye ridges.. but again, I could be wrong. We did only see it for a moment or two before it mashed up Hud.

That is pretty good, but I had the impression that it wasn't squatting (with is back legs at such a low angle)quite so much. It even actually stood upright sometimes with its arms in the air.
Very nice work nonetheless, especailly for the brief moments that we see the creature.

That's really detailed considering it was onscreen for a total of about 10 seconds. Adding a picture of one of the small bug things that fell off of it would make it look more awesome, but what do I know? Good work. Favourited.
