Description Final project for Head and Hands class.

It's a four-piece project that measures a total of 36x48. Each piece, which measures at 18x24, was done using different mediums: (from left top to bottom right) pastel, crayon, white charcoal, and oil.

Estimated to have spend around 15-20 hours on each piece, so around 50-60 hours total, I guess.

beautiful piece. there's so much movement but you've controlled it well and i think a lot of that has to do with your composition. The 4 heads act as anchors in each corner but the arms and hands are what move your eye. i read the entire piece as a tag team match. where the two guys on the left are on one team and the two guys on the right are on the other. As individual pieces i think the charcoal piece is the most successful. i love the detail of the chin and nose and the hands in that panel are fantastic. The only thing i might suggest is to add more contrast under his chin in the charcoal piece. Also the shirt in the background of the charcoal piece reads more as drapery and i think it's because it doesn't look as though it's wrapped around a body. Lastly, the background in the top, middle of the piece as a whole(the empty space on the right of the pastel piece and on the left of the crayon piece) could use something to fill the space. I'm just nitpicking though this really is a wonderful piece.
