Finally got around to finishing this Painting of the DC vs Shonen idea. Took awhile but I am proud of it for now until the light of tomorrow makes me hate it.Related content

I would predict Joker would somehow get possession of the Death Note, then everyone would team up to get it away from him!

He'd have to know all their names though and not many of them would be easy to get and I don't think he could figure out Solomon Grundy's real name and he'd just ressurect and come back. Superman could get rid of him before he has time to write anything and only a select few people know who Batman is and Light couldn't just write down Batman. Also the Joker doesn't even know his name so I don't see the Death Note being useful unless Light has prep time.

Something Light doesn't have and Ryuk won't tell him anyone's name, he also has to see their full on face anyway so anyone wearing masks are safe. Light is still useless without prep.

Besides if Batman even had an inkling of the Death Note's weaknesses, he probably pawn Light like L in the first season by tricking him into killing a double!

Yet Light ended up killing L with countermeasures that would make the caped crusader challenged. It'd be interesting to see a battle of wits between Light and Batman.

Um...when did Morpheus pick that particular power up? Unless this is something in the new comics, which I haven't been able to read yet...
Besides, the Endless would be above all of this foolishness.
Additionally, I would like to point out that this is a mere smattering of the power of the DCU, especially if you take all of the 52 into account...that's 52 Supermen, Supergirls (or maybe Power Girls), 52 Kryptos. And FAR more terrifyingly, that's 52 Batmen scheming against the other side! No contest, game over, turn out the lights, the party's over.
Now, pit the Shonen universe against the Marvel Universe...

You are probably absolutely right, but I was making the point that there are far more powerful things in the DC Universe than just Superman. Myxyzptlk for example can be a real pain in the butt.

Oh, I'm aware that, even though he's very much one of the most powerful being in the DCU, there are athers that could drop him like a stone. Zatanna, Dr. Fate, hell, pretty much every magician out there can hurt him. And of course, there's always that nasty green rock (and red and purple and whatever color we can come up with...)
Hm. I don't remember Neil really exploring much of what Daniel could do, so you may well be right. LOL Y'know, I was always curious if, on top of him becoming a member of the Endless, if Daniel ever inherited any of his parents' powers...not that he would need them or anything. Still, technically, Daniel is third-generation JSA (or second-generation Infinity, Inc.), so I just wonder...

Now I am remembering, I think that happened in a Teen Titans crossover where Brute & Glob posed as Dream/Daniel and Death of the Endless, but "The Real McCoys" showed up and punished the imposters. So it might not be Gaiman-Cannon.

Actually, I dun think Superman is the biggest factor here. Disregarding the other 51 parts of the DCU multiverse (and the post I made a few minutes ago), something tells me that there would be FAR more than one Green Lantern here. Not to mention some Red, and Blue, and Purple, and maybe even Yellow. Yeah...that's a lot of ring-slinging!

I didn't say New 52, I said the 52. The number refers to the DC Multiverse, which was around before the abomination that is New 52 occurred. And while Superman (one of my all-time favorite characters, although I'm even more partial to his cousin) is powerful, even he isn't enough by himself. The various Lantern Corps would be formidible indeed, though.

What is your source on this? Unless something has changed since New 52 went into effect, Supergirl has all of her pre-Crisis On Infinte Earths strength, which makes her more powerful than post-COIE Superman. This is DC canon.

i just though about it and Shonen is more scary than all of DC i mena just take a single series in Shonen (naruto) their entire show is filled with people wo will compete with DC, lets take One Piece vs all of DC i see once piece coming out on top tho the only person they might strugle againes is supremen (if he cuts lose and fight for keeps) lets not even talk about DBZ cus then DC only hope is that Superman plays at the top of his game for the set go because almost everyone in on his level
