Dark matter and 02 are the same tribe.Therefore, I think that 02 can become such appearances.

The textures and the colors looks so good here! I love this design, it's probably my favorite from all the Swordsman/Zero fusions I've seen so far!

Well, the english versions consistenly make it confusing so here is the answer regarding the 'tribe' thing.
The Dark Matters are a species capable of acting as individuals and of merging into hive minds to perform difficult tasks.
They were created by Zero, the embodiment of primordial, absolute darkness to be her slaves. She is technically not a Dark Matter but have similar powers, except stronger (possession, copy ability).
Dark Matters are capable of reproduction like most species but can also be created directly by Zero.
Dark Matters are mostly fanatically loyal to Zero but are capable of rebellion (Gooey in Dreamland 3 is a Dark Matter who rebelled against Zero). To prevent rebellion, to motivate them to do as she wants, and often because she is pure evil, Zero will strip Dark Matters of their ability to feel anything positive (the Dark Matter general from Dreamland 2 & 3 as well as a character from Return to Dreamland are two notable victims of this treatment).

"Tribe"? 02 Controls all forms of dark matter. It's kinda a weird way to explain it, but 02 controls dark matter like an army: First, there's those little floating black poofs with eyes in them, then the ones with petals, so on and so forth. Dark Matter himself is at the *very* top, right below 02.
Also, 02 can't change his appearance at all; he's immortal, yes, but he's not a God. He's just a reincarnation of 0.

I like how you brought in the thorns to the shoulder guards as well. It made them not just a puzzling tail there for questionable reasons.
