Yay! I made it! After several requests from friends, I made an eye tutorial! 8D You will have a behind-the-scenes look at how I make my eyes so shiny and animu-like. And since I only used a mouse to do this, anyone can do it! All you need is Photoshop 7.0 and a little variety. ^___^Related content

You can use the Overlay mode, on colour white over the layer that you need the burn tool, In SAI

you should download GIMP if you don't have photoshop
it's similar to photoshop but it's free

Right, let's start with the basics, I think you're using the same version as me. If you look at this: [link] if it's like that then we're looking at the same version xD
On the left hand side is the toolbar, right down the bottom is the colour swatches which can be changed by double clicking, above those is a little blue dropper tool thing or a clenched fist thing. That's the dodge and burn tools, if you hold that icon, then you can switch tools.
In fact, I'm gonna go make a tutorial to give you a hand xD

Like I want to color eyes and stuff but I can't seem to like fill in the eye with the bucket and I try layers and the selection tool but doesn't work..

Obviously, you can skip the colouring method, all you need to know is the transparency delete bit

Ah, cell shading, yeah, I know how to do that, it's basically the same method that I used to colour the eyes. Hang on, I'm about to start another picture, so I'll use that to make the tutorial
