The Lion King - this features MY original characters: Tendai (lioness,) Asita (lion,) and Baako (cub.)

Asita is Kiara & Kovu's only son while Tendai & Baako are half-siblings.

At the moment, Tendai and Asita are adolescents and this is when they meet. I redesigned Tendai's markings and color, but I kept it darker than Asita's. In TLK movies, it's displayed that the lionesses are of lighter color than the lions (Nuka has a dark mane and a slightly duller tawny coat.) Since I'm such an art geek, females in older art are always displayed paler than the males, in TLK movies, they are so. With my newer generation, I'm symbolizing how the pale 'trend' shifted in a tan 'trend.' Or at least when society deemed that tanner girls are more attractive then those with pale complexions.

*shrug* Just as idea.

I feel proud of myself because of the background (I cheated using pre-made brushes on the grass, using a mouse has it's limits and my patience would have thinned out and thus, this piece would never have been finished.)

What I don't like (and what has been my issue) are my lines, I use Micron pens and apparently they're very uneven after I scan the picture in. This makes it hard for the Magic Wand to pick up the colors... Of course I go through it and erase the tidbits myself, but I never seem to get all of them...
