Mum doesnt look like she hugs her kid very often. Amazing work, really. So are the rest of your pieces. Just leaves me feeling a bit sad for what is not there.

fantastic piece. i adore the idea of a mother who seemingly doesn't care/is falling apart standing with her child who is looking helplessly up at her, wondering what's going on. the patchwork on the mother figure seems to be symbolic of her haphazard nature (she's just thrown together), and her little table legs are more than enough to get the viewer to understand the instability she has. the window behind seems to be a way out, too, and the clock would look to be representative of the quickly undergoing process of a mental breakdown; it could happen any time now. i'm not sure of the red cloth... but if i had to take a guess it would be the sorrow the child's had to go thru?
well, that's my insignifigant interpretation. wonderful piece, as i said. a favorite for sure.

I couldnt take my eyes from this and it has now settled in my favourites box. Textures seem very fond of you as you use them very well. The slight tilt of the childs head perhaps suggests a silent questioning, but all was made homely with the clock and mirror with fit perfectly, excellent manipulation work here.

it's not just you! I was going to say something similar. this definitely fits into the Silent Hill oeuvre of macabre pseudo-humanity, messed up mother-child relationships, mannequins... I love it.

i kinda don't love that kinda of art work when not in a video game survival horror setting or in a horror movie setting it raises alot of questions about people and their connection to their own humanity. I feel this kind of art perpetuates distance and separation from humanity.
