"You stared at the Abyss and the Abyss stared back."

Here is "Abyss", my logo, as my mum calls it.

I had four inspirations when drawing this:

1. The cover for the song "Little Dark Age" by MGMT (it's yellow with black dots), and the music itself, this is how that song sounds to me. Just an ominous abyss, staring back at you.
2. Pointillism, but with a ruler. I tried to draw dots in a line, since I had never done it before.
3. I crocheted a black cat with big yellow buttons as eyes and put it on my backpack. Then, I drew this and my mum said it's my "logo", which is why this is also gonna be my profile picture. After that, I also made a pin that's a black cat's head with big yellow eyes.
4. meow. (I just love cats, man)

The name Abyss comes from the sentence “Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."..."When you gaze into that abyss, it gazes back, and it tells you what you are made of." (yes I did pull that from google shut up-)

Since I face a lot of issues and the Black cat follows me everywhere (on my jacket, on my backpack, I often see black cats, in one of my dreams, a black cat with glowing yellow eyes saved me...) it would make sense (at least to me) that my "logo" would be named after something like this. After the bravery to face whatever is in the abyss.

Also, I want a black cat, and name it Abyss.

Anyways, this is Abyss. It will probably show up in more of my work.
