In Shaktinazia, there is a deep pit, in that pit is where all the magic in the world originated. Over generations, the Source became less interested in defending itself from corruption, so Wizards stepped in, to defend the lifeblood of the planet itself. Currently we got Eldrick, for the last 500 years or so, he's been in charge of guarding this hole. He's began taking it less seriously, he's the almightiest of almight wizards, he can play around with intruders.
