Good News For People Who Love Bad NewsDeviant Art doesn't like long winded titles apparently, so I had to shorten it.
I really liked the stylized bear mask worn by the Kuma character on Afro Samurai, so most of the character inspiration I owe to that. However, I'm sure that Cloverfield played some kind of role in the conception of the idea as well.
This painting took forever to finish as I'm not really fond of painting (or drawing) buildings, and I struggled with a bad case of artist's block somewhere at the halfway point.
I'm rather happy with the end result, though as is the case with almost every other piece in my gallery, there's about a million things I would have liked to change/do differently.

aw thanks! and it is indeed done with acrylics. i love what people are capable of with digital art; the results can be mind-blowing. but personally, i need the tactile component of working on a piece of art and having an actual tangible finished piece.
