   This is my Sonic fan character Janet Rodriguez, who I plan to feature in my Techno Wars universe.
Janet here is a hedgefox.
   I mentioned on my earlier drawing of her that she has existed about as long as my character Sarah has. In her earliest stages I have to admit that she was not originally a hybrid and in her initial color and quill design she looked a lot like an Amy redesign or perhaps a Amy sister (in fact I think I actually HAD a younger sister character for Janet running about at first, but they were essentially the same character just mini). And yes, I did originally intend for her to be Sonic's love interest- this is something I don't particularly want to give up so, until I say otherwise, she is Sonic's girlfriend. Having said that Amy is still a friend of Sonic's and yes, she does still have a crush on him, but no, she and Janet are not antagonistic nor do they hate each other. They are in fact very good friends who respect each other who happen to like the same guy who just so happens to be interested in Janet. If I HAD to give it a label I'd say it's closest to a friendly rivalry in regards to their love interests. As for Sally Acorn she does exist in Techno Wars though she is not a love interest of Sonic's and she is not interested in him. At this moment she mostly exists in this universe because the other freedom fighter characters also exist. Currently how I have things the SatAM/Archie characters aren't terribly prominent, barring Nicole who has a significant role. This is because, Nicole aside, the bigger world influencing factor for Techno Wars is Sonic X.
   Having said that I want to make it clear that I actually really love the SatAM/Archie characters and stories and while I like both Sally and Amy I usually prefer Sally as a canonical love interest for Sonic. Also I don't intend romance to be anything more than background details in Techno Wars- my vision is more of an action based story.
   Janet actually has no Chaos abilities and is not a magic user (more about Chaos abilities and magic in universe will be explained as I solidify my world building details). What she does have is special skates made for her as a gift from Tails. These skates are made of similar material as Sonic and Sarah's anti-friction shoes to keep them from wearing out too quickly from the high speeds they are subjected to. This is because in battle Sonic or Sarah will drag/swing Janet along with them as they run and then let her go so she can use the momentum to her advantage until she slows down. Again, she does not have super speed or anything like that, she has just learned how to handle herself on her skates at high velocity with the help of Sonic and Sarah. The two of them actually do something similar with their brother Zak and a spell of his sometimes, but far less frequently.
   The wheels of the skates are actually supposed to retract into the sole of the shoe when she doesn't need them. This is mostly because I can't help but think about how impractical it is to constantly be wearing skates with out them being hover skates, but I also needed a way for the wheels to be quickly available when she needed the skates. As such I also needed to think of a mechanism/catalyst that would make the switch. My first thought was maybe an earing with a button, but then I thought something similar to Shadow's inhibitor rings would be better- just make the wheels retract back and forth with a twist of her bracelet. Besides these modifications in material and wheel retractability they are in fact regular skates- no hover ability or any sort of speed enhancing.
For her dress design- I'm having a hard time deciding which one looks better. It would be really helpful if you guys could tell me which one you think is best. Please comment! I also tried to draw some regular rollerblades but that didn't really turn out that well.
One last factoid about Janet- she has a fraternal twin brother named Mark.
