My fourth digital work!!
It's kinda symbolic right? I mean the title says 4 and it's a fourth work, huh...
About process of creation: at first i did a pencil sketch on the paper and then scanned it, made sky/cloud/leaves background totally in sai, then used photoshop brushes for trees and window texture. All the rest was colored in sai. I used several pose references, but hope you'll forgive me, 'cuz it was super hard to draw!!!
Anyway, this is my entry for 's contest.
The theme was: time and her ocs...
I drew her, i mean Naimane herself in four ages, and four random ocs of hers i liked the most: Jack (his height was a big problem), Netami (holycow i died at him! Colors, outfit, hair - everything! In the first panel he doesn't look like himself, but in the last one... ammmm ++), Kirai (btw he was the easiest to draw), Anthony (coloring was the main problem i guess). Hope i drew them all right T_T I did my best... i tried! Really tried! Don't kill me... i know i screw them up... eh...
I drew Naimane among boys for better contrast ++
No clocks!! That's boring! Drawing clocks for time theme? Really? That's too simple! I don't like simple stuff, so no clocks! Muwahahaha!!
So here comes the better explanation

Explanation:
Я много думала о том, что такое время и как мы его воспринимаем. И какое значение оно имеет для нас - художников, писателей, иными словами - творческих личностей.
Первое, что пришло мне в голову - это жизнь. Но мне показалось, что это довольно грустная тема, особенно если рассматривать её со стороны смерти. Поэтому я постаралась подойти к проблеме со всех других возможных или не возможных точек мнения.
В итоге обнаружила 4 составляющих времени и назвала их "элементами".
Итак, из чего же состоит время?
1ый Элемент: Сутки. Утро, день, вечер, ночь. Рассвет, день, закат, ночь. 
2ой Элемент: Природа. Смена сезонов, как и время суток, состоит из 4х частей: весна, лето, осень, зима. 
3ий Элемент: Ходьба. Да-да, именно она! Шаг - как эффект вечного движения вперед. Человек никогда не останавливается, сколько бы поколений не сменилось.
4ый Элемент: Да, сама Жизнь. Так как же всё это отражается на нас и наших персонажах?
Дело в том, что не важно сколько дней и ночей пройдет, сколько сменится сезонов и сколько будет пройдено миль - наши персонажи, нет, наши "дети" всегда-всегда, слышите, всегда будут с нами!!
Но если задуматься о смерти и об этом коварном четвертом элементе, то становится грустно и страшно. Что происходит с героями после нашей смерти?
Да, они уйдут вместе с нами, но какая-то их часть останется и в мире живых. Рисунки, рассказы, возможно что-то еще, что мы-авторы-создатели оставим после себя - всё это передастся следующим поколениям. Конечно, скорее всего, для них наши персонажи не будут такими же бесценными, как для нас, их "отцов" и "матерей", но они будут жить в памяти людей... а память, как и время - вечна....
English version:
I thought a lot about time and what it means for us - novelists, artists, in other words - creative persons.
And the first thing that came to my mind - was Life. But i thought that it's a bit sad theme especially if to look at it from the side of Death. That's why i decided to think of the problem from all possible and impossible points of view.
In the end i discovered four so-called 'parts' of Time and called them 'Elements'.
So what elements is Time consist of?
1st Element: Time of the Days. Morning, Midday, Evening, Night. Sunrise, Daylight, Sunset, Moonlight.2nd Element: Nature. The changing of four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter.3rd Element: Walk. Yes, exactly walk! Walking - as and effect of time. People are never stop, they continue to go straight ahead no matter how many generations will pass...4th Element: Well, Life indeed...But what connection these elements have with our ocs?
The point is that it doesn't really matter how many days or years will past, how many seasons will change, and how many miles will be walked... our characters, our 'babies' - are always, do you read me? Always! Always will be with us!
But if to think of Death and that tricky 4th Element you may feel sad and scared. What will become to ours ocs after our death? Yes, they will leave with us but some part of them will stay here - in the world of living ones. Pictures, stories, maybe something else that we-authors-creators will leave after death - all these will be given to the next generation. Of course our characters won't be so important for them like they were to us, their 'mothers' and 'fathers', but they will live in the people's memory, and memory the same as time - is eternal....

а про спину! укрепляй мышцы спины, самое лучшее - висеть на турнике почаще и плаванием заниматься! просто у меня было искривление позвоночника, от сидячего образа жизни(да и рисую, буквой зю согнувшись) в общем, мамина подруга, (она массажист и врач и тренер), посоветовала. мне помогло, думаю и тебе поможет. береги своё здоровье)

Ну ща буду ходить и на массаж и в тренажерку...как бэ уже как две недели как записалась, но пока было всего три занятия в тренажерном и один массаж. Сегодня опять иду - тока хз как буду на тренажерах занимацо ибо вся спина в синяках после массажу. Одно дело когда мышцы болят - совсем другое когда синяки Т_Т

Well.. i tried to be creative... though i paid a big price for it. I'm still not used to draw with a tablet so i have terrible neck ache now and had it.. during all the time process of drawing this picture T_T

I think this is really good. REALLY REALLY good. Like, there are a lot things that could be said about the picture. Good things, I mean. If I were Naimane, I know I'd pick this entry to be one of the winners. I bet you definitely gave it some thought, too, and it was thinking time well spent.
I personally really like the interaction between everyone throughout the seasons, and most especially that Netami is helping old Naimane along, and to me that is just so touching.
Definitely crying-worth when I think about it.

Btw me and my friend was thinking about 'heaven' for novelists and artists - and we came up with the idea that it'd be awesome if our souls after our death will get to the world where our ocs live ++

I actually was thinking about an hourglass sort of thing, but then I got fed up with drawing them, so I'm just like, "FLOWERS. AWESOME SYMBOLISM!" So yeah, I'm so glad I didn't do a clock thing.
But I'm also learning Japanese, and even that doesn't seem difficult at all, and learning languages is just fun, in my opinion. I like being able to read and understand different languages. But yeah, my OCs, they'd probably be a little mad, but they'd get over it and be like "I loves you, mama!" Lol. I don't think I put my OCs through enough right now. XD

I learn japanese only when i'm watching animes >.< true that learning new languages maybe fun, but in my university that learning reminded more of torture than smth funny... so i started to hate the process of learning new languages. I know english... kind of... tons of mistakes and i'm totally no good at speaking >.< But that's enough for me ... eh...

I like to put my OCs through funny stuff. Like once I drew two of my guy OCs as women in skimpy clothing and I just had to laugh my butt off. It was so funny. OCs are sorta like play toys, but in the end you love 'em. = w = I really wouldn't mind hanging with 'em. It would be so cool.

XD The clone thing needs to be worked out though. Clones live their life pretty quickly, as I have heard at one point. But I dunno, every parent-less child needs parents. ^ ^

Aww, makes me think how when I die, I hope my OCs will still be known by some other person and that they won't totally be forgotten. ; ^ ; Sad how in some ways our creations can almost die with us...
Now I feel stronger about afterlife with our OCs. I don't care if any one of them wants to beat me up, I love them.

Eh, that's true, that's why we need to do everything that we can to make people remember our ocs! And i think as long as such site as devArt exists someone will remember us and our characters ^^
But i'm writing a book and i wanna publish it someday. And my most epic dream is to create a videogame! If i'll do those two i think my ocs will stay in people's memory ++
