Applebloom has a small knack for alchemy, a creative sense to construct and design... she has plenty of smarts. No need for a brain.
Sweetie Belle's expression in singing and pursuit to spend time with Rarity serves as ample evidence of her passionate heart. What she MIGHT need is better hydraulics to carry Rarity's stuff when they go camping, but certainly she does not require an additional organic fluid pump.
