I wanted to play around with a few different shading technics and started to sketch a few dragons. While drawing I wondered how the egg from which the dragon hatched would look like? What would the egg of a spiky dragon look like? Maybe the egg would have spiky scales too? The water dragon (upper row, middle) has a kind of bone plate and horn on its head. So I thought the egg should also have some kind of horn. I think it would be really interesting to start with a dragon egg and think about the dragon that could hatch from it. What kind of dragon would hatch from a big, blue-green dotted egg with spiky scales?
