Ok, I really have been enjoying the design of this character, and this piece in general. I looked at the line art from my previous piece Edelweiss, Faerie-Fire Fencer. by Automatom25 on DeviantArt and thought I could take the rendering in another, fun direction. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed experimenting with the digital watercolor on the previous piece but...
I am so happy with how this turned out! This was more experimenting with style choices and techniques that I am not always 100% comfortable with, so to see it turn out so well just fills me with joy. Again, not wanting to imply that I was disappointed with my previous piece. I just kept hearing a little voice in the back of my head tell me, "You could have taken it a little bit further." Anyways, I am glad I listened haha. I think this might personally be one of my favorite pieces at the moment.
Obviously, it has brought me a great deal of joy, I hope it does the same for you as well.
