Description
A ref sheet for the OC of another one of my Amino friends, Aiden
------------
Name: Aiden Kenway (born Akylas Faloan Doverwolf)
Born: 1777; Spain
Died: 1811; France (age 34)
Allegiance: Assassins
Bio: Akylas was born to an absent father and a mother who was tragically murdered when he was a boy. Akylas barely escaped with his life, and was rescued by a group of men who called themselves the Templars. They took him in and trained him to become a killing machine to use against their enemies, the Assassins. They gave him a new name, Aiden, to help him blend in around the rest of Europe. Aiden became a prodigy within the Order, reaching the rank of Master Templar by his early twenties. However, there was always a part of him that doubted what the Templars were doing. That doubt was pushed to its limits when the Templars sent him on a mission that resulted in the brutal deaths of many innocent people. Aiden couldn't stand for it, and he violently lashed out against those he once worked with. He discovered in the process that the Templars had also been the ones who killed his mother, staging the whole thing so that they could trick Aiden into becoming their recruit. That only added fuel to his rage.
Realizing he had made a very dangerous enemy, he fled across the ocean to the United States in 1800. It was there that he met two Assassin Mentors that were in the midst of travelling: Vinny Santos and Athan Burns. The Assassins took in the poor lost boy and trained him in their ways. Aiden was quick to adopt the new philosophy of the Creed, and he became a kind-hearted seeker of justice who was determined to save as many innocent lives as he could. Vinny had him use the Kenway surname while on a mission, telling him he had similar facial features to the Mentor known as Connor, and Aiden ultimately decided to keep the name.
Aiden’s quest for Templar blood hit an odd turn in 1801. While on a mission, he ended up going up against a Master Templar named Hydrazi Bushnell. Initially bitter enemies, the two grew to form a forbidden love after a series of misadventures. Aiden would often sneak off into the night to be with his new lover, much to the displeasure of his fellow Assassins. The two eventually married, and their first son, Falean, was born in 1803, after the couple moved to France in hopes of getting away from the judging eyes of their respective organizations. They had a few daughters not long after.
However, this love would ultimately prove to be their downfall. The Templars discovered their marriage, and then saw it as a betrayal of the Order on Hydra's end. In 1806, they hunted her down and killed her, despite Aiden’s desperate attempts to save her. Their daughters were also killed in the crossfire. Aiden tried to kill the man leading the attack, Templar Grand Master, Shay Patrick Cormac, but his foe managed to beat him and escape overseas. Aiden was left to grieve the loss of his beloved wife and daughters.
He took his son and returned to America, where he tried to find solace amongst his old friends. They showed him their support, and over the years, he managed to let go of the past and move on. He later met many more Assassins, such as Castillo DeSangre from Mexico, Caleb McCride from New York, Emmaline Anderson from France, and Aveza Deryn from Canada. In 1811, Aiden and a few of his friends went to recover a Piece of Eden, a set of Precursor armor that granted the user incredible strength, but corrupted their minds. Aiden put on this armor, and it drove him insane, turning him into a mindless killing machine. His son Falaen was forced to kill him both to save the city, and to end his father's suffering.
