Name: Jason Feldew
Born: 1981; Unknown Location
Allegiance: None
Bio: Not much is known about the early life of the rogue individual known as Jason Feldew. The very first account of him playing a part in the Assassin-Templar War was in 1998, when the Assassins rescued him from an Abstergo search team. They took him to an undisclosed location near Virginia Beach to hook him up to an Animus and have him relive the memories of his ancestor, Jackson McCride, in order to uncover information about a Piece of Eden. The Templars attacked the compound multiple times during the mission, and one attack left him blinded in his right eye, solidifying his hatred for the Order. Eventually, the Assassins reached a genetic memory wherein Jackson came into contact with the isu called Neptune, who purposefully induced a bleeding effect in Jason that forced him to relive memories from the Human-Isu War. Jason fell into a coma for 2 days, and when he awoke discovered that Neptune had inserted his own consciousness into his brain alongside Jason's, giving the precursor a telepathic link and partial control over Jason. Soon after, the Templars attacked again and Jason used the chaos to steal some files from the Assassins and book it out of there. He went out on his own path with Neptune guiding him, telling Jason he must find the Trident of Eden and bring it to Neptune’s statue.
Jason travelled to Connecticut afterwards and kept a low profile. He got in contact with the hacker group known as Erudito in an attempt to dig up more information on the pieces of the Trident, but had no luck. In 2001, he was found by the leader of the Assassin sect he had worked with, Thomas. Thomas tried to plead for him to come back to the Assassins, but Jason declined, not fully aligning with their beliefs. Although, when Abstergo captured Thomas, Jason did decide to rescue him and agreed to at least be an ally in the fight against the Templars, collecting intel on the enemy and relaying it to the Assassins. The relationship went well for a while until 2009, when Jason and a team of Assassins located one of the pieces of the Trident of Eden near Danbury, Connecticut. The piece triggered a massive bleeding effect in Jason that caused him to kill one of the Assassins and wound two others before fleeing the group and running away in New York, where he disappeared. The Assassins labeled him an enemy and sent out a hit on him to all the Assassin teams across the globe. Jason went undercover, letting his hair grow out and adopting a black trench coat and his signature mask.
In 2016, Jason came into the Assassins in Connecticut once again when he learned of an Assassin named Brandon Johnson, who was related to him through the McCrides. He formed his plan to make contact when he found Thomas lying injured and barely conscious in an alleyway. He carried him to the Assassin HQ, knowing the Assassins would blame him for the attack, and hid out in an abandoned building waiting for them to come. Sure enough, he found himself face to face with Brandon. Jason explained their connection and suggested they form a truce to relive the memories of Jackson McCride’s father, Caleb. The Assassins reluctantly agreed to work with Jason, but they kept him under heavy surveillance. They out Brandon into the Animus based on the info Jason had given them, but we're unable to access the memories after a certain point. Jason explained he was the only one able to access these memories, and so the Assassins reluctantly put him into the machine and let him record the lost years of Caleb’s life.
