Now this one is interesting, on a lot of levels.

For starters, it's not mine. This is Stalkkus, Kaiju Killer, from the fan-film Godzilla X Kaiju Killer (by Chris Elchesyn, who may or may not still be on DeviantArt). It's a design I've long wanted to tackle and I'm finally attempting it formally.

For another, it's one of the few designs I've tackled (outside of the obvious ones) that has actually been a suit already. The fan-film utilized a lot of hand-made/home-made props, practical effects, and impressively, full-blown kaiju suits.

Weirdly, there isn't a lot online by way of artwork, photos, etc., so I'm having to consult a limited amount of references (along with the fan-film itself) in order to attempt my own rendition. I am trying to stick to the original design as closely as possible, out of respect, and not take any creative liberties that I don't necessarily have to. I will say, though, in order to adhere to the design principles I normally work within, it's already had to make some noticeable changes, if only to fit the suit-actor inside the way most of my other suit designs are meant to work. The original Stalkkus suit was an interesting construct, in practice and in action, but it more or less adheres to classic suit design principles from classic Godzilla movies, and mine...don't always do that. I suspect it won't change much more than the silhouette but...we'll see.

Anyway. Haven't gotten very far. But it's there. Hopefully I can finish this soon.
