Description

I experimented with how the mouth might look when opened. I didn't want it to be so big as to be comparable to Orga or Biollante, but I do like the idea that the mouth is deceptively small when closed and scarily big and monstrous when opened. I've since added more to this sketch but I haven't scanned it yet so I'll...do that later.

You also start to see here that I'm more experimental with the hair, which honestly is more important to me in the design than everything else. I didn't necessarily want to go full Sadako or something, but I did like the idea that hair could drape over the face and be both covering the face and offering potential sympathetic movement for any suit or puppet that might be made of it. I also just personally like the idea that the face at the end of this long neck is so human as to be expressive, even sad, but mostly hidden beneath the hair, obscuring it enough that the full design is mostly kept a secret and up to the imagination.
