Description
Another sketch I did on vacation. This one is a bunch of strange looking alien "plants". I'll come up with descriptions of the individual plants later.

Balloon fungus- This organism decomposes dead matter of a dense forest floor. Using a process similar to electrolysis it splits water to produce hydrogen gas that is used to inflate spore filled sacs. these spore pods rise to the canopy of the forest until it snags of a branch and pops spreading spores across the forest floor.
Spotted Dancing Flower- a strange plant with surprisingly earth like flowers, this plant attracts pollinators through waving the tentacle like stems.
Sarlacc Flower - this plant lays long vines across the ground. When disturbed they wrap around the victim and start curling, dragging its prey into its bony fingers.
Eyed Flattree- to withstand the high winds of its planet this tree has flattened its canopy into and aerodynamic shape.
Wind Palm - this small palm tree like plant is actually one of its planets many air filter feeders. It feeds of its planets many airborne plankton like organisms.
Land Sea Anemone- similar behavior and appearance to sea anemones on earth has led Xenobotanists to the name.
Dragon Head Grass- the end of the plant resembles a dragon, but the 'fire' is in fact filter feeding hairs.
Hairy Brain plant - This organism feeds on small flying creatures by snatching them out of the air with sticky hairs and pulling them into the folds of its brain like digestive organ.
Heart plant- The heart like organ in the center of the plant similar to the Hairy Brain Plant is in fact a digestive organ covered in a sticky fowl smelling glue that traps small flying organisms.
Tongue plant- this plants many leaves have the color and texture of many forked lizard tongues.
Slugplant- this is a photosynthesizing plant that uses many tiny legs and like a starfish moves over the ground to find better land.
