Description
Update: On the day Nemi was put to rest I asked my parents if we could have Nemi cremated. My parents said yes and once we get the ashes from the veterinarians, they would also give us a heart with Nemi's footprint on it (they also gave us a card for our loss Nemi, before we received her ashes). On [10-7-19], Nemi has been cremated and we received her ashes at the time of this update [10-15-19].

Back in 2004 my dad's sister went to Florida for vacation, unfortunately she had to deal with a hurricane when she was there.
After the hurricane ended she found a lost kitten who was missing from her family, so she decided to rescue the poor cat.

                                                  That kitten was of course, Nemi.
                                          (Her name was inspired by the word "nemesis")

  Now I don't remember how old I was when I first met Nemi, but I know I grew a bond with this cat.
I'd hug this cat, pet her, played with her and all the other wacky stuff my younger self did. This was the first time I had this kind of connection to a pet, before we had Nemi as our pet we owned another cat called "Pandora" (still living) and I used to chase her around a lot as a kid. Because of that she was afraid of me, now a days me and her have grown a bond sense I'm not chasing her as I was in the past.

I've always had Nemi by my side, especially when it came to moving to a different state. For five years it was smooth sailing, until that's when 2019 came around and things weren't looking good for her.
I believe after a few months of my graduation we started to notice Nemi was acting different the usual. She had stopped cleaning herself, she was pooping on the floor more often (she did this in a occasion in the last state we lived in so we were used to this) then in the litter box, and she was becoming very picky on what she wanted to eat. During the ending week for September and the beginning of October, it got worse then we could imagine.

All of the sudden she decided to not eat or drink (at the point where she stopped and we had to force feed her), use the litter box, or even move. My father had brought Nemi to the vet to see what was wrong, Nemi had a kidney infection.

[10-3-19] We brought Nemi to the vet so that she can be put to sleep, I have said my final words to her before she was put to sleep.
This is the first time I have ever lost something so precious to me. It hurts, it really does.

Nemi. Even if you made messes on the floor, you will always be the best pet I have ever had in my life. The pet I could ever ask for.
                                                               I'll miss you...
