If to be more precise, this is how I see my soul.Should I write anything else?
WIP - Work In Progress! maybe it will be reference sheet. I can't guarantee that it is the final version.
I used Liner and cheap old colored pencils.
Чтож... вот и Я ) Точнее как Я вижу свою душу. Рассказывать ничего не буду, не каждому дано это знать и понять. Да и не каждому нужно. Да собственно нечего рассказывать-то
Я использовал простые каранадаши для наброска, линер для последующей обводки и далее цветные старые ужасного качества карандаши.
Ещё огромное спасибо моим друзьям-драконам. Они здорово помогли мне морально и идейно.
з.ы. Я не знал что я так могу рисовать в цвете 0_о А ещё ненавижу сканер и фотик. Они врут цвета -_-
Update 19.01.12: added the comparison and detailed head. It will not be a reference sheet. I can't. And it is a summer fur.
Update 23.01.12: greater resolution. Added some background and frontal view of the muzzle. Ya, it is awful... This is only my third or fourth attempt to draw a front view. Again failure -_-

Fluffy and warm dragon, good to cuddle with on rainy winter nights! It doesn't snow where I live - ever - so it'd be rainy nights for me

*sudders* Ugh I just recently had a very heated discussion about by stance on "giant" dragons
To sum it up I'm not a big fan of large dragons - no pun intended there - as it sort of makes them more unrealistic in terms of being biologically plausible when it comes to flight and being able to sustain themselves as a predatory creature. As most folks I talk with come from the D&D point of view, their vision of dragons is to immediately dismiss the idea of realism and be fervent believers in "bigger is better". Myself a firm believer in realism even in fantasy, this puts me at contrast with their ideals. My "comfort zone" is somewhere around 9 ~ 14 feet tall (2 ~ 4 meters) when on all fours and with their head in an upright position. Any larger and their appeal begins to wane. Anything in the 40ft+ zone and still being able to fly really kills it for me, especially if their weight is going to be 17 metric tons region. If it's based on a bird model with hollow bones and is more lightweight despite its size, that's a bit more reasonable to me. The way I see it is as most people are comfortable with the Harry Potter, Fablehaven, and D&D way of thinking, few people want to try and base their dragons on a method that can be seen actually existing in our world. That's why I was so quickly drawn to Animal Planet's model of dragons, and Dracopedia's (NOT the D&D book mind you - this one is set in OUR world where magic does not exist), as well as Dragonology's despite it being clearly fantasy with a hint of 'realism' mixed in.
But yes, smaller more reasonably sized dragons are my main focus, with larger dragons being more on the "Meh" scale.

I mean, don't get me wrong WotlK and Cata both had some good ideas (Let's face it, it was only a matter of time before Neltharion/Deathwing recovered and came back) but I still prefer Classic and TBC over the other two - gameplay changes aside, some of the story additions were difficult to accept (Really - with all her power Alex couldn't imprison Malgyos, they had to kill him? But hey - it's an MMO bosses always die there is no defeat, with the exception of two bosses in Final Fantasy XI: Bahamut and that midget sorceress who I forget her name. Then, what's with Thrall getting to be the new Earth Warden? To me that's a position only a dragon can hold. And I always thought that is one of the aspects died without passing their power to another then the world would break. I thought of them as "seals" of sorts that kept the world in balance. Guess I misunderstood.)
But yeah this is a conversation we'd have to continue in Notes and not on someone else's deviation page

Same here. I mean, I can see some of the stuff in the exps happening, like Malgyos declaring war on the mortal races and Deathwing returning, just not in the exact way it was portrayed in the game. I also don't think Alex would have approved of using the same weapon/device that nearly destroyed the Blue dragons and turned her against her own race against even their worst enemies which, ironically enough, is what enabled the players to finally defeat him.
