Description
I just felt like doing a quick one without much thinking...Just as a warming-exercise, I guess.
Anyway, I tried a little different technique for this one, without inking and using layers in photoshop for every element... so I wanted a more painterly feel than usual. I got bored fast, so this lady was finished (as much as she was going to be, anyway) in about 5 hours.
Warming-up so I don't lose practice... next pieces will be better

Just experimenting, my friend... it's a lot easier in layers, you can select separately and you don't have to worry about overlapping. IMHO.

yea true, i always get pissed off because every once in a while i forget to select the correct layer and all this garbage ends up getting painted over where i didn't want it, so i've been doing almost everything in a seperate layer for a while, maybe once in a while i'll seperate a character from the background layer, but rarely.

I always do all the painting in one layer if I have good linework... since I was coloring a sketch here, I preferred to do it separately... the trick is naming each layer after its contents
