Description when the bad only got worse
and you wish the minutes would stop for you -- just this once. please make it stop.
and you wish they would all understand.
and you wish they would be quiet.
and you wish the clouds could lift you. just this once. let it take you away.
but it didn't.
it only got worse.

take it again.
prove again to the world that your spirit is your giant
that your imagination can be made real
prove again that your mind is stronger than your body
stand up. run and fly.
take it again and fly.
take it again

Wow, Becky! Another fantastic piece of work! Thanks much for posting it up!

Your expression and pose really show how you're strong inside, and you won't let your injuries and such bring you down any time soon. I think that the paint swirls also show your awesome artistic skills, and your love for art in general, as well as your beautiful imagination! You did a very great job on this picture, I just cannot tear my eyes away from it!

You are beautiful on the outside too!

God, you're beautiful AND you're talented?? That's pretty rare, my friend!! You're blessed!

Nice piece, I love the smoke like effect of the color, such vibrant color too! I see the color as the artistic statement, the desire and overwhelming need to create... to make something beautiful... to leave ones mark on the world.

oh wowww thank you so much for that, i'm really encouraged by your words. i was pretty obsessed in finishing this one off. i had the idea in my head the moment i got some internal bleeding problems. then more and more issues built up after that. two weeks later i was drugged in a bar and it was the most painful thing in the whole world. so that was that. i had to finish it and leave a statement i guess. haha. i'm much better now.

Uhhh!
Ehh.. wow.. er..
That took my breath away

All these ink-and-water pictures.. you certainly found the most original way to use them
Breathtaking on first sight.
Please forgive me, when I bring in some critics.. no, a suggestion :
To me it looks like there's two different kind of ink. The purple and the pink one. The pink one comes "out of" your hands, and the purple ink seems to be the bleeding signature. And there seems to be a current and so the ink drifts along your feet(aww, that's so beautiful!! ), but then it suddenly changes direction and goes up, like you'd be in a fishbowl or sth and that sort of distracts from the pink ink (pinkink ) and the ink touching your feet as well.. and that's just too bad.
I think, you should try to let the current stay in its direction => all the purple innk goes moreorless straight to the right, goes up, dissolves and spreads up.. you know? That would make the whole picture landscape format though.
I don't know if it would be that much better, but I'd give it a try.
But I love this picture anyways.
Oh, and .. I love your hair. You shouldn't hide it

manaxmomo In reply to manaxmomo [2005-08-26 13:19:00 +0000 UTC]

Oh.. if you look at it from that point of view, it's certainly better the way it is
Those ink pictures sound like a lot of fun I should try that some time!

I have to admit I overlooked the words you wrote the first time I saw it. But now, that I read them, it all makes more sense. Those words are .. beautiful, impressive.
I'm glad you're doing better
Take care

hehe you like my hair? hehe thanks. i'm so used to tying it all the time. ok i'll let it down a bit more.
yeah i understand your concerns with the shot. but i let myself go a bit crazy with this one. the purple paint in the background just formed itself like that, it's acutally really fascinating taking images of paint falling in a cup. they dance in so many ways without you controlling any of it. so yeah, it naturally fell down and sideways and i dunno (if you wait long enough, it might form it's own tornado, it's the strangest thing really).

so yeah. i just took what naturally appeared in the photos and mixed images together. a bit messy i know, but that's how i felt during all this. messy. never never at ease. restless and tired. so that's a direct visual translation of my emotions i suppose. hehe.

i'll let my hair down next time around.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

b-e-c-k-y In reply to lanceledesma [2005-08-26 00:31:20 +0000 UTC]

BRO????

skin shimmer? hmm. well first off the skin's gotta be pretty shiny to begin with.
then there's a filter you can download called Mr.Contrast from Flaming Pear. what it does is it can guide you on all the highlights and shadows of whatever object (basically make images look gold, silver, etc etc.. or porcelain).. and then with those guides you can adjust the image with the basic tools.. dodge, burn.. brushes..etc

thanks pare,..i'll look into flaming pear for that. I think you already mentioned this site before in one of your stuff. anyway, great work as always.

btw, does baby oil on skin work?
