Description This is my first attempt at some new custom computer peripherals. My first try is this hand made 1GB USB Flash drive. As it was a first go (& it was a lot smaller than I'm used to working!) if took me approximately 6hours to complete & works like any other 'plug & play' device, illuminating when its in use. Although its not in the pictured, there is a symmetrical wooden sheath that protects the USB adapter. This will hopefully be the first in many (hopefully more impressive & detailed pieces) So if you like it, keep your eyes peeled. Or if you have any ideas let me know!

I am thinking of trying my hand at making a case for a 32 Gig drive I have. I want it to have an integrated cover of some kind b/c I inevitably lose caps and a lanyard.

Now that's cool. You may hear from me in the future. This is something I'd like to get. Can you go higher on the capacity? Like say 8GB. What else do you have?

Hi there... Most of my keys are 16GB or above & I'm looking to do a 64GB this year - have a look through the rest of my galley & see what you think! Thanks for your interest, Rob

I checked it out you have some great drives. Do you do this only for hobby or will you be willing to do a request and sale? I'd love to buy your work.

Nevermind. I guess I should have looked before I asked about the capacity.

Great Work.

This is an amazing piece of hardware! I use so many USB drives. All of them are different colors in order to keep them organized. I would love to own a USB like this! It is so cool how you made this yourself. How did you come up with this idea? And would you be able to make it be able to hold more files than 1GB? Say a 2-8GB UDB drive?

Hi there... I've actually made 6 or 7 16GB keys over the last year & a 32GB 'Elite' Edition key. Feel free to have a look around my gallery as I believe I've uploaded all of them there.

In terms of how I thought it up, I was just very inspired by a lot of the work from the Steampunk movement & I knew it would make a interesting piece so I gave it a go. The first key was actually a present for a family member and didn't imagine they'd take off so well.

that's pretty cool. So is there anything between all the gears & stuff & the actual chip? I mean like a piece of glass or plastic to keep dirt & dust out
