Description There are shaders for gaming console emulators that imitate CRT screen effect made by retro enthusiasts. I had a plan to try to reproduce whatever those shaders are doing in photoshop step by step. But in the end I loaded up RetroArch emulator, opened the image I wanted to edit, used one of the CRT-shaders packs above it and made a screenshot instead.

Idk maybe it’s increased contrast, smoothness or perhaps the glow, but the resulting image has so much more volume, it’s like some 3D render on a shitty old screen.

Need to figure out if there is a way to edit gifs/videos this way (apart from doing the same procedure frame by frame)

Shader used: CRT-Royale by TroggleMonkey with custom settings
