I wrote this post mainly to help out a few of the older people in my community who might not understand what AI is or why it matters that it not go unregulated. Then I started really getting into the topic and realized how it impacted people I consider friends. Then, to top it all off the president talked about it briefly in his State of the Union speech. Once again, I'm great at timing things to coincide with events I knew nothing about ahead of time. All kidding aside, read this post if you don't know much about the subject or see its negative impacts.
