Description

This WAS a good drawing, until my douchebag cat fucked me over while I was drawing his mouth. Little prick. Also I hate shoes

After that day in the park, Toshinori allowed Tsuyoi to roam freely outside of his ball. Much to his surprise, the Pikachu followed him wherever he went, which made him only a little uneasy. He kept glancing over his shoulder at Tsuyoi, half expecting him to suddenly attack him and run off. Any time Toshinori would go anywhere, Tsuyoi would get up and follow, still keeping a few feet distance between the two of them and still not allowing Toshinori to get close enough to touch him. When Toshinori wasn't walking around, Tsuyoi sat several feet away and watched him curiously; however, he would huff and turn away every time Toshinori looked at him.

Tsuyoi would even wake up and follow after him when he went on his morning runs. The first time it appeared to be out of curiosity, but now he was sure it was because they would pick up food along the way, as Tsuyoi would speed up as they neared the park food stands and stop to wait for him there.

Today wasn't much different. Tsuyoi waited patiently for him at their usual stop. Toshinori stopped and glanced around before spotting a different stand then looked down at the Pikachu. "How about we get something different today?"

"Pi?" Tsuyoi's ear twitched. He watched the boy walk over to a different vendor. He stood there for a few moments, interacting with the other human before walking over to a nearby bench with something in his hands. Tsuyoi stared blankly at him until realizing that the boy was beckoning him to come over. He bounded over and leapt up onto the other end of the bench and looked up at Toshi curiously.

"Here," he held something strange out to him.

"Pii?" Tsuyoi sniffed. It smelled sweet. Was it really food? It looked too pretty to be food. Whatever it was, it was round and had a swirly pink top that was dotted with tiny colorful pieces. "Pika..." he looked up at him again, not sure what to do with the object.

Toshi chuckled. "It's a cupcake. Do you like sweets?"

Tsuyoi flicked his ears. He sniffed again at the cupcake before carefully taking it in his paws and sitting down. He gingerly licked at the icing, pleasantly surprised by the taste, and smiled excitedly. "Chaaaaaa~!"

He couldn't help but smile as he watched the ecstatic Pikachu happily munching away at the treat.

The next day, Toshinori woke up to find Tsuyoi sleeping at the foot of his bed. For a moment he thought he was still asleep. Tsuyoi usually slept in the opposite corner of the room, even refusing any pillows or blankets. Now, he was suddenly sleeping on the bed with him. Of course, he was at the very edge of the bed, obviously avoiding any physical contact, but still.

As he stirred, Tsuyoi woke up and stretched with a loud yawn then sat up to watch him prepare for the day. This time, however, he noticed that the boy was gathering up some different things than from the previous few days.

He noticed Tsuyoi watching him. "I have to go to school today," he explained. Tsuyoi blinked at him. "It's a school that teaches us how to be heroes. People bring their Pokemon too, because their Pokemon usually work as their partners." He lifted a bag onto his shoulder and went over to the front door, stopping to look back at the Pikachu that was following him. "Um, do you want to come?" He almost flinched with surprise when Tsuyoi nodded in response. "Oh! Uh, okay! Let's go then."

After passing through the gate he realized that maybe he should have warned Tsuyoi about the amount of people that would be here. After all, the Pikachu still didn't seem very fond of humans. He was even still wary of Toshinori himself. He looked back over his shoulder to see if he was okay and was amused to see the Pikachu staring awestruck up at the huge school building. "Tsuyoi," he called and was surprised when the Pikachu actually responded to the name. "We don't want to be late. Come on."

Upon entering the classroom Toshi dropped his bag by his desk and watched as Tsuyoi jumped up onto the desk to look around. The Pikachu was looking just a little apprehensive about all of the strange people all around.

"Toshinori!" a girl with a Treecko perched on her shoulder shouted and ran over to them. "You got a Pokemon!?" The exclamation caused everyone present to stop what they were doing and hurry over to see.

   "Whoa! He did!"

   "About time!"

   "It's a Pikachu!!!"

   "Cute~!"

"Is that the Pikachu from the news?"

   "Aw, he's so cute!"

"Pi-i-i...ka..." Tsuyoi was very clearly uncomfortable, his tail twitching slightly with fear and annoyance.

   "Can I pet it?"

Before anyone could touch Tsuyoi, Toshinori swiftly snatched up the Pikachu and held him above his head and out of the others' reaches. "WAIT! Er, um, he's not really used to people so..."

"Alright, settle down," a man said as he entered the classroom. "Take your seats!"

As everyone shuffled into their spots, Toshinori sat down with a deep sigh and sat Tsuyoi back on his desk. "Err, sorry about that," he whispered to Tsuyoi who shot him a quick look of annoyance.

Most of that day was just regular school classes and nothing very eventful. During lunch Toshinori and Tsuyoi remained in the classroom for fear of Tsuyoi having a panic attack being around so many people. Luckily, Toshi had brought his own lunch anyway. "Are you hungry?" he offered him a sandwich which Tsuyoi happily accepted. It wasn't until after school ended that something more exciting happened.

   "Hey Toshinori!" a voice called.

He stopped just before the gate and looked back to find a boy from his class running up to him. "Hey."

"That Pikachu looks pretty scrappy," he grinned as he looked down at the Pikachu. Tsuyoi narrowed his eyes at him as he took out a Pokeball. "Bet it can't beat my Donphan! Whaddaya say?"

"Oh! Um, I-I don't know. I kind of have to get going."

"It won't take long," the boy said, his cheeky grin widening. "Crash will get it done real quick like!" He tossed up the ball and a large Donphan appeared. "Donn!!!" it threw up its trunk with a shout.

"I don't-" before he could argue any further, Tsuyoi jumped in front of him, facing the Donphan with a serious expression.

"Yeah that's it!" the boy said. "Let's go! Rollout!"

Crash suddenly curled himself into a rapidly-spinning ball and flew forward, slamming hard into the Pikachu and sending him into the air. Tsuyoi landed with a thud but got back to his feet.

"Watch out!" Toshi shouted. The Donphan had made a wide turn and was heading back for another hit. Tsuyoi jumped out of the way just in time to avoid it. Toshinori wasn't sure what to do. Tsuyoi never did what he told him to, so how was he supposed to battle?

"Whoa!" several onlookers gasped, pulling Toshi's attention back to what was happening.

Tsuyoi had held his ground for Crash's third attack. The Donphan was no longer spinning as Tsuyoi had held out his arms and stopped the larger Pokemon in its tracks. With tremendous force, Tsuyoi hefted the elephant Pokemon and threw him away. The Donphan uncurled with a shout as he crashed into the ground several yards away.

"Was that the move Strength?" someone asked.

"I don't know, but holy crap that Pikachu's strong!"

Tsuyoi braced himself as Crash scrambled back to his feet to face him. "Take Down!" Crash's master commanded and the Donphan charged forward.

Toshinori had to decide. Should he give Tsuyoi a command? He knew most of Tsuyoi's moves after being unwillingly used as a punching bag by the Pikachu. Electricity wouldn't work on a ground type. Maybe... "Mega Punch!"

Tsuyoi's ear twitched upon hearing the command. Without hesitation, he curled his hand into a fist, a powerful energy flowing from it, and punched the Donphan square between the eyes, sending it flying much farther than before and crashing into a wall.

Everyone was silent. Staring in awe as the debris settled to reveal the Donphan that was completely out of commission. "Crash!" the boy ran over to his knocked-out Pokemon.

"No one's taken down Crash so easily!" another student exclaimed.

Toshinori was completely surprised that Tsuyoi had followed his command. He was even more surprised when the Pikachu ran up to him, stopping just beside his foot, and looked up at him expectantly with a smile. "You...that was amazing!" he lifted Tsuyoi up happily.

"Pika!" Tsuyoi cheered happily then suddenly let loose a Thunderbolt on him.

It only lasted a second, but it still hurt. "What...was that for?" Toshi huffed, his hair standing on end.

   "Pi-he-heka!" Tsuyoi laughed cutely.

The rest of the day they spent at the park. As Toshi finished up the last of his homework he felt something gently lean against his back. He glanced back to see that Tsuyoi was asleep and had fallen against Toshinori's back. He grinned, trying not laugh in case the noise woke him up.
