This is our first attempt at CYO. The rules and instructions may need to be clarified or change as more entries come in to ensure this system is running as intended. Be aware this journal and it's rules may change at any time.
In the future we may have CYO like this open at all times but for the sake of the event, and testing purposes, this CYO will have a limited run time just to see how it impacts the game.
Passives are not done yet which means if you are picking your soulbound griffian depending on that then you can wait until they have been released!
Berts Genetics lab
Bert does not make these Griffolk, he only made the serum that makes them pop up on the wild or on Griffolks doorsteps. No one is quite sure how or why his serum works. His Serum was a work in progress that was meant for small dosages, but a particular creation of his named Phaze which he has been holding a secret, escaped with it a while back And returned only to present the giant vial empty.
General InformationThis Registration hub is run by Bert. This round of Create your own runs from May 1st to May 31st, after the 31st this journal will be closed. 
Color GeneWhen picking your CYO you must also decide what you want the color gene to be. This color gene determines the flat \color that your Griffolk is born with. If you pick blue for example, you can use any blue to start out with, not just the one in the example picture below.
Prototype/Indigenous Griffolk subtypesThe following are the subtypes of Griffians that you can choose to start with. Once picked and approved, these cannot be changed into another subtype. This choice is permanent, so choose wisely. If you make a new account and made a CYO on an older account, The ownership will added to all new accounts.

Design Exceptions:The following Species have design exceptions to what you can alter. If one of the Species are not listed below, that means they must be drawn like the examples above. Click on them to make them bigger.
Parasplicer - Arms must be the same color as the chosen gene color. The amount of coverage shown on the arms can vary.
Foolee - Head piece can vary between these 4 versions, they can also be covered by hair.
Terradragon - The fur that connects the body with the aura can vary between these 4 different versions.
Kryptox - Cloaks can vary and be mixed between these 4 different versions.
Fashion Fishy - Fins can vary and be mixed between these 4 different versions.
Bavom - Bavoms can be skull floating within aura, partially covered in fur aura, or fully covered Canines. Bavom animal heads have no back legs. Aura/body needs to be same color Gene. Skull can be white. Scarf cannot have additions (like fringe) to it, but it can be any color or pattern. The scarf is mandatory.
Rules for Approval:Turned in artwork must match the species anatomy as closely as possible. The closer your image is to the official art in this journal the easier it will be for a moderator to approve it. If drawings have features that resemble mutations they may be declined. No inappropriate gestures or poses will be accepted. No bases will be provided for this. Once you have your CYO approved you can change haircolor, hair style, add acessories , scars and use items the ARPG has to offer to alter your design.
Here is a visual of what is acceptable and what is not.
A = You can start without hair and with any saturated version of the Gene color of choice.
B = Any color in hair is allowed.
C = Any facial hair is allowed.
D =You can add as many colors to the hair as you want, and alter the weight.
1 = No Markings
2 = No Gradients
3 = No Accessories
4 = No Mutations
5 = No Scars
6 = No Different colors

Is this free and for everyone?
Yes, but it is one per person and if you are caught making multiple using multiple accounts you will be banned
Does my account need to be a certain age?
You must be 13 or older but your DA account does not need to be any particular age.
How do I know my CYO is approved?
Mods have 3 days to get back to you, when your CYO is approved 2 moderators will reply to you. One providing your number, and another with a confirmation that it has been added to our masterlist.

Do I have to draw my own CYO?
No, a friend can do it for you
Is traditional art ok?
Yes
What if my anatomy is wrong?
Do your best to keep it as close as possible. It shouldn't matter unless it looks like another type of Griffolk.
Can it be drawn on a base?
No, no bases can ever be used.
Will a base be provided for me?
No
Can I base my CYO off a copyrighted show, movie, or other persons character?

Do my Griffolks nails have to be the base gene color?
No, they can be white or the base gene color
Can my Griffolk have scars and amputations for free?
Yes, but it cannot be added to the first drawing. You can do it after approval.

Yes, All Griffolk can have hair on their heads.
Does the long fur on my Fornlee count as hair? Can I edit the color for free?

Yes, but it can be just a little lighter or darker. If it is too extreme you may be declined.

How do I get markings on my Griffolk?
After players CYO is approved they need an item called a dye fruit or dye potion to add markings and change colors. The dye fruit applies one color. The dye potion applies unlimited colors.

How do I change things on my Griffolk
1. Some changes need items. Mutations are traits in Griffia you need an item for. There are 3 mutation items.
-Star Fruit
-Hollow Fruit
-Fool Fruit

2. Some things in Griffia are changable for free.

These changes do not need to be approved anywhere and can be done any time after your CYO is approved.

How do I get dye and mutation items
You can get these items by either playing the game, or purchasing them with Gold Coins(gc) (that is also won by playing the game) here:

When does my CYO get a theme?
It does not
Can I base my CYO and accesories off a theme?
Yes, however be advised that since you do not technically own the theme it may be created on another Griffolk by an Offical Guest Artist at any time. Please do not make CYO thinking you own the themes you have based them off.
Can my CYO participate in all Griffia Activities and use all Griffia items after it is approved?
Yes
Does my Bagbean have a bag?
Yes, all bagbeans have a free bag that you can customize without items.
Does my Griffolk that is not a Bagbean have a bag?
No, if you would like a bag it must be purchased and applied through item usage. Changes can be made for free however once it is purchased.
What is Titan Form?
Titan form is a free form that comes with all Griffolk. You can find them in this folder by searching "titan" and scrolling till you find the white examples.
