Description
I really love collecting the past-gen pony toys so I decided to design g4 versions of my favorite characters!Lightning is another pony part of the 'Mountain Boy' set. I made a few more tweaks to his design than I did Thundercloud's. The biggest change being I completely re-did the cutie mark. As it was I felt it was too similar to Thundercloud's, however it still has a lightning bolt and a cloud so it's not too big of a change. I also added a shade of yellow in he hair and changed him to a pegasus.
I'll probably add a bio later (spoiler: he's Thundercloud's boyfriend)
Fun fact: The pictures on the ponys' rumps weren't given a official name from Hasbro until g3, when they started calling them 'cutie marks'. In the mean time, collectors of the toys coined the term 'symbol' when talking about g1 and g2 ponies. Do not call g1 and g2 symbols 'cutie marks, it makes them mad lol.

The fact that it makes them mad is the best reason to do it! Anyone who considers toy trivia to be that level of super srs bsns needs to re-learn how to have fun. I swear, some people were never kids.
Similarly, in Transformers, G1 Soundwave's li'l cassette tape dudes are totally mini-cons, even if the term wasn't coined until Armada. (Hey, it's literally accurate 'cause they're 'cons and they're mini!)
Good to see the Mountain Boys getting some attention! I always liked them and have a complicated headcanon or two.

I love how well you show variety in your stallions. They're not ever one note or another, they're a combination of things showing that ponies can come in so many shapes and sizes and styles. It's extremely inspiring to me!
