Cadences parents (King rubanis and amythst shine who were killed in the battle of the draco) were the rulers of the crystal empire rubanis being alicorn and amythyst being Pegasus, cadence was born just as her mother. Rubanis love was so strong the ponies couldn't argue about marring a mere pegasi, and on the say of the wedding rubanis gave amythyst the crystal heart. How do you think pegasus move clouds? It was Cadence's destiny to defeat Prismia. She was able to summon magic to fulfill her destiny.
