“OW! Oh, that hurts!” said Jeena. Her first day of middle school started with her waking up to her smacking her head on her bedroom wall.
“ugh. Jeen, I get to sleep one more hour than you do this year, and you wake me up. You suck,” said her younger sister, Madalyn.
Geena groaned as she slowly walked off of the top bunk and into the shower.
‘Oh, well. When I get to school, I’ll see Mitch, Jenny, Gerald, and especially Mike. I wonder if he-‘ but her thoughts where interrupted, because when she turned on the shower-
“COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD!!” She shouted as the water fell on her. She turned it up to the hottest setting, hoping that the water was just running low on hot water.
“HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!” She shouted. Not such a good start.
Jeena’s mom pounded on the bathroom door. “honey? You ok in here?” she asked.
“yeah mom! I’m fine! Just cold water and extremely hot water, that’s all!”
“how is it now?”
“fine.”
“and I meant to ask you… do you have enough underwear? The dryer went out again and its gonna rain all week,” her mom said, but Jeena had turned on the shower radio when she heard Taylor Swift singing ‘love story’, her favorite song.
“what?” Jeena asked.
“Do You Have Enough Underwear??” her mom asked
“WHAT?” hollered Jeena, turning off the radio.
“DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH UNDERWEAR?” Her mom shouted, loud enough so that everyone in the house could hear. Not only that, but the bathroom window was open (I might wanna add that the bathroom was in the front of her house- where the bus stop was)- just as some 8th graders walked up to the bus stop.
She could hear them all laughing.
‘mom, mom, mom… you have ended my life as we know it,’ Jeena thought.
