Description My would-be sumbission for 's entry for his digivolution contest. This was my idea for his ultamate level digimon.

Basic insprations:
some form of bone dragon deep from the flames of the underworld.
An Amphisbaena- a serpent with a head at both ends. What I like about some incarnations of this myth is that the dragon never slept, at least one head is always on alert so no one could catch it offguard.

Though the final copy would have been red and gold as per the colour scheme, I wanted to add armour to the dragon insteadf of just showing off it's scales being tough. The bone dragon wears a "cursed mask" that always fuels it's anger and need for destruction. I could imagine wearing the maks is quite painful too, so the dragon is always driven to madness and can't recognize friend from foe. The shape of the mask itself has as serrated edge that seems to be a continuation of the dragon's jaws, giving it the illusion on extra fangs.

Overall bodyshape: the bone dragon is massive, and towers above humans. It's wings are tattered and scarred from the battles it has faught. Most of it's physical body had rot away, leaving only it's bones and burning hatred. The flesh seen is mostly the neck area, and possibly his tail. I imagined it has one back leg that is rotting, and the other one is already all bone. You see the bone ribcage, and it's gold plated/in scale armour that's all sharp- not a good idea to touch. Inside the ribcage is a burning core that never seems to go out. I can see an attack this digimon performs that involves the flames growing large enough to consume the whole body and just tackles his enemy.

Tail: though it's not on here, I did want to incorperate the idea of an amphisbaena. The tail seems to be covered in writhing worms, and there's a head of a biiiig worm that hisses and spits poison. The "worm" has a sort of symbiotic relation with the main host. It feasts on his flesh, and in return it "guards it's home" by warning it's host of whatever danger tries to sneak up on it. If need be, the group of worms will crawl off the tail and fight on their own, though this is a rare occourence.

Back of the head: to have more eyes on the back of it's head, I put a mask there. I would think it's an interesting idea to see the dragon more of a mindless ragin beast, and the mask being the real brains behind all the digimon. If the dragon speaks, words do not come out from the dragon mouth, but resonates from the mask itself. In order to keep itself functioning, the "brain" of the digimon blocked it's nerves from sending pain signals and locked away it's emotions. The mask does not feel pain, that's the body's problem. This makes the digimon an excellent tank/berserker type since it won't flinch from an attack, and it has a cunning mind to plan it's next few attack in advance.
